Murals

During his career as a sculptor and mural designer Charles Anderson was commissioned to carry out a great number of works. We are in the process of establishing a database of as many of these works as we can. We list on this page our progress to date. Details are shown of the type of materials used, the size, location and the current status of the work. Sadly, some have been destroyed, either by the demolishing of the buildings they were part of or have been covered up during refurbishment. Some thankfully have been saved, as is the case of the Burnley frieze previously mounted on the Thompson Sport Center buildoing which has been demolished. Unfortunately some of the murals displayed here are still under threat and it would be a good thing if they can be saved. We will add more in due course.
